Singing Classical Songs Is Easy With Hawk Liu

Musical Background:

Hawk Liu is a singing instructor specializing in Broadway Singing as well as Classical Singing. He studied with Ms. Carol Stone (Texas, USA; London, UK) for 10 years, working on vocal technique as well as the teaching of vocal technique. As a singer, he was with the West Australian Opera, Perth in 1999.

Performance Background:

Hawk has been a performing artiste since 1981, and he has performed in operas, musicals, choral compositions, concerts, dance, and even film and television works. He was recently involved in the ‘Love is in the Air’ musical at the Arts Festival Fringe 2006, at the Esplanade Recital Studio, as well as ‘Georgette – The Musical’ on 27 – 29 Nov 2008, at Museum of De LaSalle College of Saint Benilde, The Philippines (Manila).

A man of many talents, Hawk conceptualized, directed, choreographed and produced the musical, ‘Lesser Sung Broadway Concert’ at Young Musicians’ Society on 28 – 29 July 2007.

He was also one of the main singers for this broadway concert. Hawk has also had a number of cameo roles on television sitcoms like ‘Triple Nine’, ‘Police and Thief’ as well as ‘Growing Up’.

As a singer, Hawk has performed at venues like Esplanade Recital Studio, Esplanade Concourse, NAFA Lee Foundation Auditorium, Victoria Concert Hall, The Substation, Singapore Conference Hall and Young Musicians’ Society. He has also toured many schools for various musicals, including Pei Tong Primary, CHIJ Bukit Timah Primary, Jin Tai Primary as well as Greenridge Secondary.
