Becoming A Classical Trained Singer Is Fun With Wang Tong

Background:
Wang Tong is a singing instructor specializing in Classical
Singing and Opera. She is a graduate of the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore (NAFA), with a Degree of Music
Performance.
Her principal teacher was Ms. Nancy Yuen, Soprano Soloist with
the Singapore Lyric Opera. Wang Tong also has a Grade 8 Certification in Voice, from the China Conservatory
Examination Board (China) in 1999.
Performance
Background:
As a performer, Wang Tong has performed various classical
repertoire like “Micaela's Aria” by Bizet , “Liederkreis Op. 39” by Schumann, as well as “Let the bright
Seraphim” by Handel.
She has also reprised roles like Frasquita in Carmen Quintet,
Bizet, Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni, Mozart, as well as Musetta in La Boheme, Puccini. She was also the Champion at
the 6th Asian Youth Music Competition in 2007, for the Singapore Malaysia Indonesia region.
Wang Tong has performed at various venues like NAFA Lee
Foundation Theatre, Esplanade Concourse, Young Musicians’ Society Centre, Victoria Concert Hall, as well as
Konservatorium Musik, Vienna.
She is currently teaching at various music schools in
Singapore, with many individual students for classical singing.
